This last weekend at the Huffhines Art Trails show, I met an absolutely amazing lady named Fay. She was walking her little black pug dog, who was as wide as he was tall. We struck up a conversation, and immediately I discovered a truly free spirit. She was very animated as she began telling me about her very dear friend Lucy, who just happens to be a mannequin that she bought several years ago at a garage sale. Her stories about her adventures with Lucy were hilarious. I laughed until tears came out of my eyes.
I felt the need to share this with you, and to encourage you to visit Lucy on line. If you go to your search engine and type “Where’s Lucy?” her site will be there as a photo gallery by Fay Stout. I just love people with this kind of weird mind and sense of humor. Hopefully you will enjoy her as well. It won’t be as much fun as talking to her in person, but you will get a sense of her creativity.
I loved this. Talk about bring a smile to your day. A great big laugh I would say.
Thanks for introducing Fay and Lucy. Meeting them on line gives me the feeling I’ve known them for a long time. Perhaps it’s the free spirit that’s familiar. Wayne
This made my whole month, Troy! I have never seen such a beautiful mannequin. Surely you can fashion some kind of cart so Fay can bring her friend along on her walks.
Hahahaha!!! OK… this is hysterical! So, have you ever googled your name to see what might come up? Well, it seems I had some extra time on my hands today and that’s what I did and found this story about “Where’s Lucy?” I told Lucy about it and she was dumbfounded… and as you know, she is a woman of few words, but I could tell she was pleased! So glad I could give you a laugh. Life is so much more fun when you have a smile on your face!
As one of my many bumperstickers says… “Outrageous Older Woman”. So glad I did not disappoint! Thanks so much!

I am so glad you finally found the post. It was a joy to meet you and to get to know Lucy. I hope to see you again sometime, maybe at the Huffhines Art Trails next October. As you can see, several of my followers enjoyed meeting Lucy.
Thanks so much! You sure gave me a laugh!
